Affordable Spay & Neuter Services

We partner with mobile veterinary clinic Four Directions Vet to offer affordable spay and neuter services within rural and underserved communities. Being able to sponsor surgeries and bring them into communities with a mobile unit is a game changer. We also aim to create a fund for animals who are undergoing surgery to get additional services such as tapeworm treatment, flea treatment, and vaccines.

TNR-Trap/Neuter/Release

One of the reasons we were called to this mission was to prevent animal cruelty.....through preventative medicine and through TNR. We were informed violent acts were being taken against community cats due to overpopulation. What may look like just spay and neuter to others, we know is actually preventing unnecessary overpopulation and suffering for our feline friends.

Wellness Services with Partner Organizations

We are partnering with other local organizations including other shelters, rescues, cities, and veterinarians to host wellness clinics aimed at preventative services such as vaccines, heartworm testing, FELV/FIV testing, monthly heartworm/flea/tick prevention, microchipping, and deworming (including fecals). We feel as though prevention is the best medicine for every community.

Education

FDCC believes the best prevention is through education. We believe in fostering relationships with interns, schools, volunteers, community members, and their families. Not only that, we enjoy partnering with veterinarians who enjoy fostering partnerships with rescues, shelters, and the community to bring veterinary education at the forefront of veterinary preventative care.
